Sabre® Group Management Tool is a comprehensive product that allows agencies to request, sell and manage airline-blocked space with minimal airline intervention. The reduction of manual processes and the related cost savings increase the efficiencies of airlines’ group desks and/or reservations departments. Group Management Tool inventory protection features give airlines control at all times, preventing spoilage.

Features

Group Management Tool enables Sabre ConnectedSM agencies to request reservations of 10 or more passengers in the Sabre® system or receive a “pushed” block from the carrier via teletype messaging.

“Sells/Cancels” against the block are processed via Direct Connect Link ensuring “in synch” reservations. Other features include:

  • Integration of block/group space into neutral availability
  • Block specific availability displays
  • Automated inventory protections milestones (i.e. reduction date and expiration date)
  • Enhanced security (airlines control who may request and sell block/group space)
  • Standard PNR functionality (i.e. seat maps, pre-reserved seats, electronic ticketing)

technical requirements

To use the Sabre Group Management Tool, airlines must:

  • Support International Air Transport Association EDIFACT messaging
  • Participate at Direct Connect Sell or higher
