DESCRIPTION
The sale is made and the ticket is issued. Then, due to schedule conflicts, illness and other logistical problems, customers sometimes need to have their tickets refunded or exchanged. Today, reissuing, refunding or exchanging a ticket can involve complex rules, different currencies and complicated procedures. This manual process is time consuming, error prone and non productive - which can cause additional revenue to be miscalculated or overlooked. You need an automated solution to help expedite this tedious process and ensure the accuracy of your calculations.
Refunding and exchanging tickets just became faster – and much easier with Quick Refunds and Exchanges – part of our Sabre® Fulfillment suite of tools. Automating a totally manual process, Quick Refunds and Exchanges significantly reduces the time you spend on reissuing, refunding and exchanging tickets. And because the process is more intuitive, your productivity and accuracy will increase greatly.
Features
Easy, faster and more accurate. To process an exchange or refund using Quick Refunds and Exchanges, simply enter the ticket number for the refund or exchange. You'll receive an image of the ticket, which populates a mask with all the pertinent ticket information — reducing possible pricing errors and debit memos. This intuitive tool stores the details of your ticketing information in a database. It retains your electronic ticket information for 13 months and paper ticket information for 70 days — giving you access to the information you need if it becomes later necessary. And, this new tool uses System Price Quote Records to replace current stored fare functionality (WS) and these are generated through the Sabre® system.
Quick Refunds and Exchanges automatically provides you with a comparison between the old and the new tickets — including a breakdown of the taxes. This greatly helps you in determining paid and unpaid taxes and makes complex recalculations easier and accurate. If a ticket is not in the database, you can quickly enter your ticket information into the mask. And, for agencies located in the United States, Quick Refunds and Exchanges sends your refund data electronically to Airline Reporting Corporation's (ARCs) Interactive Agent Reporting tool.
