Efficient Access Solution

Program Overview

Through the Sabre® system, Sabre Connected^SM agencies have comprehensive air content from over 400 airlines globally. Importantly, we’ve secured key customer protections and benefits from major U.S. airlines and have made these protections and benefits available to our agency customers with locations in the U.S., Bermuda and the Caribbean through the Efficient Access^SM Solution.

This new optional program assures travel agencies long-term full content and protection from service fees from program carriers. And they continue to enjoy the efficiency they’ve come to rely upon through the Sabre system.

The Efficient Access Solution is balanced to take into account the very real economic pressures airlines and agencies face and to provide agency businesses with long-term protections. With the Efficient Access Solution, program carriers receive a discount on booking fees for reservations made by agencies participating in the program. In return, the airlines agree to provide key benefits and protections to agencies participating in the program. Agencies participating in the program agree to certain financial terms in exchange for the significant benefits and protections afforded by the new agreements.

Agency Benefits

Through participation in the Efficient Access Solution, travel agencies are assured of:

1. Full content from program carriers, including published fares and Web fares, as well as private fares, including an agency’s negotiated rates and those of the corporate or government customers it may serve. 
2. Protection from service fees that a program carrier might levy on bookings made through the Sabre® GDS.
