- Sabre Travel Network offers the leading global distribution system (GDS), as well as additional products and services, to a worldwide network of approximately 50,000 travel agencies that offers points of sale in 113 countries around the world.
- The Sabre® GDS includes travel content from more than 400 airlines, approximately 75,000 hotel properties, 28 car rental companies, 13 cruise lines, 35 railroads and 220 tour operators.
- In 2005, more than $80 billion of travel-related products and services were sold through the Sabre GDS. About 36 percent of the world’s travel is booked through the Sabre GDS.
- Originally developed in 1960, the Sabre GDS has pioneered technology to improve the experience for the buyers and sellers of travel.
- Sabre Travel Network empowers Sabre ConnectedSM travel agencies to become travel experts through products and services such as Sabre® Virtually There®, the Sabre® MagnifySM revenue and relationship management suite of tools and Web Fares by FareChase.
