Features
Agents must complete both the Industry Certification and Innovation Certification to be Total Travel Certified.
Industry Certification:
The objective is to certify travel counselors who are well versed with the Sabre system as Industry Experts. Certified agents must also understand the way the travel industry functions as part of the global market today. This certification will feature both a corporate focused and leisure focused track. To complete the Industry Certification candidates are required to achieve a passing score on the Sabre certification test, acquire additional industry certifications, and participate in travel industry events.
Innovative Certification:
As booking travel online becomes more popular in the marketplace, travel agents must utilize innovative methods and tactics to stand out as knowledgeable and competent service providers. Travel counselors who use creative and unique techniques to grow their business and better serve their customers will be certified as Innovation Experts. Innovative strategies must be submitted in each of the following categories:
- Use of Sabre travel products in creative ways that they were not necessarily intended for
- New and untraditional ways to think of travel
- Innovative marketing, sales, and service tactics
