Christopher Vasiliou is senior vice president and general manager of the Asia Pacific division of Sabre Travel Network. He is responsible for developing strategy, joint ventures and alliances in the region.
Previously, Vasiliou was chief operating officer of Travelocity, where he oversaw the company’s lines of business, including air, car, hotel, cruise and vacation. In addition, he was responsible for third-party distribution, including Yahoo, AOL and Travelocity’s affiliate programs, as well as international and business development.
Prior to that, Vasiliou was senior vice president of strategic planning and development for Travelocity. In this role, he developed and implemented the business’s global strategy, led corporate M&A activity and pursued business development opportunities. Vasiliou joined Travelocity in April of 2000.
After joining the company in 1983 as an analyst in advertising sales promotion, Vasiliou held multiple leadership roles for Sabre Holdings. These include senior vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, senior vice president of sales and service for the GDS business, managing director of national accounts and managing director for Europe.
Vasiliou holds a bachelor's degree in history from Temple University and also served in the United States Navy.
